us!)
though we weren't born sisters, many parts of our lives have made us so (thank God!).
this sisterhood is probably more of a result of how many parts of our lives are shared than it is of the marriages that bond us (we're actually sisters-in-law - married to brothers) and among all the sameness is almost a birthday.
even though it's a near miss in real life, we are co-celebrating on the blog. and you are the beneficiary!
since we missed the boat on doing a Christmas gift-away this year, we're doing one big birthday surprise - for you.
here's the deal, you have this entire week (our birthday(s) week) to enter. any one of the following actions will qualify you:
- leaving a comment about your favorite way to celebrate a birthday
- blogging about stewart & james
- facebooking about stewart & james
- uploading a photograph of a stewart & james frame of yours to our facebook fan photos album (there's a how-to on there)
and here's the catch ... we're not telling you what the surprise is because - duh! - it's a surprise. you can know this though:
it is some of our favorite things... if you know us well enough, you should have a pretty good idea of at least some of what will be in store (if you don't know us well enough - a little blog-reading should clue you in a bit (our about us page may help too))
soooooooooo let's get this party started!

ReplyDeleteI love birthdays! But as much as I love my own, I think celebrating other people's is more fun! Happy Birthday Week, Ladies!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI like to celebrate my birthday by getting the heck out of town! That way it really does feel like a "different" day. Good thing my b-day usually falls over the MLK holiday weekend so I have it easy.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday you 2!
happy birthday!! ok, favorite way to celebrate - first and foremost sleeping in and then treating myself to a $5 latte at starbucks, later on - cocktails and good friends in equal measure and maybe a birthday card or two in the mailbox!
ReplyDeletefavorite way to celebrate my birthday is enjoying a week of celebration! Lunches with friends, suppers with family, & special time with the hubs & children!
ReplyDeleteI like to have birthday cake for breakfast! That way, I dont have to wait until dinner with friends and family to get the party started!! Also, I like to open cards and gifts in bed right when I wake up!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Ladies! It's also MY birthday week! Last year, on my 30th birthday, I was VERY pregnant...9 months to be exact! We celebrated that very important birthday with a lovely dinner at home with 10 of our closest friends. By FAR the best part, however, were the frequent kicks from the little baby boy inside my belly, who decided to arrive just 13 (my lucky number) short days later! This year, we will be celebrating my 31st birthday with family and our closest friends, and this year, instead of baby kicks, I will get WONDERFUL, slobbery and sweet almost 1 year old kisses!!!

It wouldn't be a complete birthday celebration without hearing Angie and Debbie tell their annual "Coming and going" trip to the hospital in December 1981!!! Going on 29 years!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to celebrate my Birthday is surrounded by my family, friends, good food and great cocktails! A birthday cake with a candle (or cupcake) is an added bonus.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to celebrate my birthday is lunch or dinner with friends. For my kids....we start with the "hidden cupcake", all meals on the birthday plate and lots of hugs and kisses.
Also just blogged about y'all, made a post on facebook and uploaded a picture:)
Happy Birthday girls!!!!! Really I love celebrating others birthday's more than mine!!!! But the best birthday yet was my 30th because of the suprise guests I had no idea would make the lomg trip, and guess who that was? The two of you!!!!!!!!! So for me celebrating with suprises is the best! So thank y'all again for that! Love, LL

I like to celebrate with a good meal and anyone else who likes to come along...husband doesn't have a choice; he has to come.
ReplyDeleteIn my house, my 3 girls each have a special birthday plate (with a picture of a birthday cake and their name on it) that they only use on their birthday. You'd be amazed at how much impact such a small detail can have on making the day special!
