just a picture message she sent early one morning - can you guess what she was having for breakfast? *sigh*A few months back Jora wrote about La Milpa Organica Farm in Escondido, California. In true form, I (from Southwest Georgia) forwarded the link to my sister (in Savannah). The email included 'oohs' and 'aaahs' and 'wish we were theres' and that was it. Until said Sister reported that she was MOVING THERE! (at which time my precious grandfather, who proudly lives tucked away with his bride of 55 years on a farm in Alabama, asked couldn't she find a farm anywhere closer than one in California to work at!)
milking a goat. seriously so, move she did (at the rate of approximately one state per day, i might add). and Jora, she met. and melt, did my heart. in a time where we are chided for not spending enough face time and too many (supposedly empty) cyber relationships fill our days, i welled right up with pride to see how, in fact, small this great big machine we call the internet made the very world seem.
